The Miracle of Life: Quranic Perspectives on Human Embryology
June 3 @ 11:00 am – 12:00 pm
What does the Quran say about the development of life in the womb? At which point is an embryo considered a human life? Can abortion ever be permissible?
Join us for a fascinating seminar exploring the Quranic perspective on human embryology and how it has been interpreted by many Muslim apologists in light of natural science.
Dr. Rafaqat Rashid will delve into the intersection of Islam and science, which can be used to address metaphysical questions related to ensoulment, personhood, and the ethics of moral value of the fetus and the newborn. He will also touch on important contemporary topics such as the permissibility of abortion and reproductive technologies.
Through a thought-provoking discussion, attendees will gain insight into how science and Islam can complement each other and lead to a greater understanding of the world around us. It is a must-attend for those interested in the intersection of religion and science, as well as those interested in exploring the complexities of human embryology from an Islamic perspective.
